Soileos_Lucent Biosciences

This year, MARA is collaborating with a new industrial partner, Lucent Biosciences, to test one of the product ranges, namely Soileos, a nutrient solution system containing different micronutrients that can be applied to the soil during seeding. These products are characterized by low salt index, enabling them to be seed placed or mixed in the seed while seeding, and the micronutrients are bound to a natural fibre (cellulose), which releases the nutrients slowly as it gets decomposed by the soil microbiome.  We are testing the efficacy of Soileos Boron in canola and Soileos Copper in wheat (compared to the normal fertility and a competitor copper product) to evaluate their efficacy and the return on investment (ROI) for using these products.
